Breast cancer survivors deal with a range of physical and emotional concerns during and after treatment. Coping with a cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery takes a lot of energy, and many survivors can experience fatigue for years after their disease has gone into remission.

A key component of managing any disease is being able to talk to someone you trust about all the challenges you’re facing. Being open with friends and family members about how you’re feeling can help you feel less alone in your fight.

Some of the concerns breast cancer survivors have, such as body image, changes in your sex life, and fertility problems, are extremely personal issues. These things can be difficult to talk about, even with a trusted friend or family member. Finding a support group or speaking with a counselor can provide a safe environment for you to deal with these worries.
